Privacy Policy — MorForm Office

MorForm Office is a Windows desktop application for construction project managers. It does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data to any server, third party, or analytics platform. All data is stored locally on your computer and is shared only when you explicitly choose to send it by email.

1. Who We Are

2. What Data the App Stores

MorForm Office stores the following information locally on your Windows computer only:

Your name, job title, email address, and phone number (entered during setup)
Company information — name, address, phone, website, and logo image
Job records — names, addresses, scope notes, status, contacts, permits, and associated photos and documents
Estimates — CSI division rows, labour, material costs, subcontractor costs, markup, and scope of work
Crew directory — project managers, supervisors, safety officers, employees, and contacts you add manually
Vendor and subcontractor contact directory
Supervisor field reports imported from .morrep files — time entries, expenses, and safety form data
PDF quote settings — quote number counter, terms text, and signature image
Report routing email addresses for accounting and safety forwarding

All data is stored in a single JSON file at %APPDATA%\morform-office\morform-office-data.json on your local machine. None of this data is transmitted to any server operated by the developer or any third party.

3. How Data Leaves Your Computer

Data only leaves your computer when you explicitly choose to dispatch a job, approve a supervisor report, or export a file. MorForm Office communicates exclusively through your existing email client:

    Outgoing (.morjob files)
    When you dispatch a job to a supervisor, MorForm Office packages the job details, contacts, permits, scope notes, photos, and documents into a .morjob file and opens your default email client. You control the recipient and whether to send.
  

    Incoming (.morrep files)
    Supervisor field reports arrive as .morrep email attachments. You save the file to your computer and import it manually. MorForm Office reads the file locally — no data is sent back automatically.
  

    Report routing (on approval)
    When you approve a supervisor report, MorForm Office can open your email client with a pre-composed expense or safety summary message addressed to your accounting or safety email. You control whether to send.
  

    Exported files
    XLSX estimates, PDF quotes, and JSON backups are saved to your local file system. You control if and how you share them.
  

MorForm Office does not operate any server, API, or cloud storage. No background data transmission occurs at any time.

4. Permissions and System Access

MorForm Office requests the following system access:

File system (read/write) — to read imported files (.morjob, .morrep, XLSX, CSV, images) and save exports, backups, and the local data file
Default email client — to open pre-addressed compose windows when dispatching jobs or routing reports. MorForm Office does not send email directly; it opens your email client with a pre-filled message that you review and send
Open file dialog — to let you browse for files to import
Save file dialog — to let you choose where to save exports

No microphone, camera, location, notification, or network permissions are requested or used.

5. Supervisor Report Data

When you import a .morrep file from a supervisor, it may contain that supervisor's personal information including their name, email address, time records, expense data, and safety form submissions. This information is:

Stored locally on your computer only
Used solely for project management and payroll reference purposes
Never transmitted to any third party or external server
Deletable at any time by clearing the app data file or uninstalling the app

6. Third-Party Services

MorForm Office does not integrate with any analytics platforms, advertising networks, crash reporting services, telemetry services, or social media SDKs. The application is built on Electron (Node.js) and uses only standard system APIs.

The XLSX library (SheetJS) used for spreadsheet import and export runs entirely locally and does not make any network requests.

When you send a dispatch or export via email, it travels through your own email account and provider — subject to your email provider's privacy policy.

7. Data Storage and Security

All app data is stored in your Windows user profile directory at %APPDATA%\morform-office\. This location is protected by your Windows user account permissions. The developer has no ability to access, view, or retrieve data stored on your computer.

You can export a full JSON backup from Settings → Data & Backup at any time, and restore it on any Windows machine running MorForm Office.

8. Microsoft Store

MorForm Office is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft's standard store telemetry and crash reporting may apply according to Microsoft's own privacy policy. MorForm Office itself does not add any additional telemetry beyond what the Microsoft Store platform collects at the OS level.

9. Children's Privacy

MorForm Office is a professional tool intended for adults working in the construction industry. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect or store information from minors.

10. Your Rights (PIPEDA — Canada)

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Since all data is stored locally on your computer, you can delete it at any time by removing the data file at %APPDATA%\morform-office\morform-office-data.json or by uninstalling MorForm Office.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
